The Story Behind FLUXRUNNER

This game was created in honor of my father, who lives with Parkinson's disease, and in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation's mission to find a cure. Like this game, Parkinson’s is a race against time, where every moment matters and every bit of momentum gives you just a little more room to move, and keep going. The feeling of pushing forward, adapting quickly, and refusing to stop shows the daily resilience shown by those living with the condition, especially my father.

Michael J. Fox’s journey from starring in Back to the Future to becoming a global advocate for Parkinson’s research ties the themes together. His character traveled through time to fix broken futures and in real life, he’s fighting to change the future for millions of people.

FLUXRUNNER is dedicated to him, to my father, and to the mission of The Michael J. Fox Foundation to find a cure.

This is also the first game I have ever made.
I created all the visual art, coding, and music myself. The only outside assets are the twinkle sound for the Time Orb, the collision hit effect, and the grunt noise made by my friend TreeBones
